The Elegant Knight of the Atlantic
The Lined Seahorse (Hippocampus erectus) is a classic beauty of the Western Atlantic ocean. Named for the intricate network of fine white lines that often trace its neck and back, this species is a master of camouflage and patience.
Native to a wide range spanning from Canada down to South America, the Lined Seahorse is a robust species. It anchors itself to gorgonians and seagrasses with its prehensile tail, waiting to ambush small prey. Its upright posture and "coronet" on its head give it a truly regal appearance in any marine display.
This CECOZ Digital Marine Atlas edition combines cinematic 4K marine artwork with accurate scientific information — delivering both a stunning visual experience and a practical educational reference.
