The Twin-Spotted Sand Diver
The Clown Coris (featured here in its striking juvenile phase) is a fascinating wrasse known for its white/pale body, distinct black speckles, and two prominent orange "false eye-spots" on its back. As it matures, it undergoes a dramatic transformation in both color and size. A true giant of the reef, it requires a massive aquarium with a deep sand bed to indulge its natural behavior of burying itself at night or when frightened.
