The Golden Maze of the Reef

This digital atlas features the stunning Juvenile stage of the Blue Triggerfish (Pseudobalistes fuscus), also known as the Rippled Triggerfish. At this young age, the fish displays a mesmerizing pattern of neon blue squiggles over a golden-yellow body—a stark contrast to the deep violet-blue color it adopts as an adult.

Native to the Indo-Pacific and Red Sea, this species is known for its intelligence and personality. However, it grows into a massive giant (up to 55 cm) and is notoriously aggressive, making it suitable only for large tanks and experienced aquarists. It is marked as not recommended for beginners.

This CECOZ Digital Marine Atlas edition combines cinematic 4K marine artwork of the juvenile form with accurate scientific information about its care and future transformation.
